Day 1
USA/MUMBAI:
Welcome aboard your flight to Mumbai,gateway of India.
Enjoy onboard hospitality. Indulge yourself with delicious Indian and
Continental cuisine.
Day 2 MUMBAI:
Arrival in Mumbai, where after a traditional Indian
Garland welcome you'll be escorted to Hotel Fariyas /Westend hotel. Mumbai the
5th. largest cosmopilitan city in the world, is India's Financial capital and
home of world famous bollywood film industry.
Day 3
MUMBAI:
This morning at leisure. We begin
our India tour with an afternoon sightseeing tour that includes the Gateway of
India, The Prince of Wales Museum, Mahalaxmi Temple, Nehru Park, the famous
Malabar hills. We return to hotel via the famous Marine Drive of Bombay Harbor.
Day 4 MUMBAI/UDAIPUR:
After breakfast cross the harbor on
motor launch to visit the fascinating Elephant caves, carved in the form of
Lord Shiva in his triple aspect. This evening fly to one of the most
romantically beautiful cities of India, Udaipur, situated in a natural setting
which include lovely lakes, marble palaces, luxurious gardens and Royal
Temples. Stay at Hotel Trident Hilton/Rajputana Resort.
Day 5 UDAIPUR:
Morning sightseeing tour includes
City palace built in 1725, Moot Mahal, Palace of Krishna, Jagdish Temple
dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Sahehyon Ki Sari, The gardens of Royal Harems
consisting of beautiful lawns, gardens and
fountains. Enjoy a cruise on Lake Pichola surrounded by the
magnificent sights of royal palaces and castles.
Day 6 UDAIPUR/JODHUR:
Drive to
Jodhpur.At the entrance to the Thar Desert stands
Jodhpur, the fortified city whose foundations were laid in 1459. On to p of a
rocky hill stands the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, once considered invincible. The
palaces within are noted for their latticework in red sandstone. The lakes and
the temples add to the beauty and grandeur of the Jodhpur. Other attractions of
this desert city are the Jaswant Thada, a marble memorial built in 1899 and
Umaid Bhawan Palace. This evening after dinner transfer to 2 tier sleeper train
for overnight journey to Jaipur. The most part of the Indian railway is the
railway station seen, bustling with passengers, porters and sellers of
everything that one can imagine. Enjoy the real
flavor of Indian style railway travel. Meet the everyday folks. Engage with
them in a conversation and you will be delightfully entertained. English is
widely spoken, as it happens to be the common language for people of different

Day 7
JAIPUR:
After breakfast, fly to Jaipur. IN
Jaipur travel in the style of Emperor Akbar to the Amber Fort atop festive
Indian Elephants. Afternoon sightseeing includes The City Palace, Albert
Museum, Jantar Mantar and the Observatory. For this evening, we recommend a
rickshaw drive around the city displaying local lifestyle in the ancient
biblical way. transfer to Hotel Trident/Hotel Clark's.
Day 8
JAIPUR/AGRA:
Enroute to Agra well stop at
Fatehpur-Sikri, the deserted sandstone city built by Akbar. This imperial
complex of forts, palaces, mosques and temples was short lived
and today is a testament to that great era.Hotel Clark's Shiraz/ Howard
Plaza.
Day 9 AGRA/VARANASI:Taj Mahal and the Agra
Fort
This morning Stand awe-struck when you visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, certain
to be an India tour highlight, as the colors on the white marble building give
it a mythical aura. Completed in 1643, this exquisitely detailed monument is
considered one of the finest architectural achievements. Our next stop is Agra
Fort, built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565, the red
sandstone Agra fort was partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's
time. Though the principal structure was built by Akbar, many more additions
were made by his grandsons. This massive fort is 2.5 kms long, the colossal
walls are 20 feet high and the whole fort is encircled by a fetid moat. Amar
Singh gate towards the south is the only entry point in the fort. The building
and structures inside the fort gives an impression of a city within the city. The marble pearl mosque inside
the fort is one of the most stunningly beautiful mosques in India. This evening
you will board sleeper class train for overnight journey to Holy city of
Varanasi.
Day 11
VARANASI:
Arrive in Varanasi, arrival meet and transfer to hotel.
We'll visit Sarnath where Lord Buddha revealed his enlightenment to Nirvana.
Hotel Radisson/Hindustan.
Day 12
VARANASI:

Rise early to view the Varanasi sunrise ceremonies on the
Ganges. City tour highlights include Bharat Mata Mandir Temple, and the Benaras
Hindu University, a center of Sanskrit, art, and cultural studies. A local
lecturer provides insight into Hindi life and the spiritual rituals of the
Ganges
and Varanasi. Varanasi is famous for most beautiful silk
sari and fabric quality and designs. Plenty to shop at unheard of
bargains.
DAY 13 VARANASI/AMRITSAR:
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer
to airport for flight to Amritsar, the holiest city in Sikhism and home of the
Golden Temple. This afternoon will attend change of the guard at the
Indo-Pakistan Border, which is show of pageantry and pomp on both sides of the
fence and attracts thousands to witness this unique event. A must see
event. Stay
at the Hotel Ritz.

Day 14 AMRITSAR:
After breakfast half day sightseeing of Amritsar.
Visit Golden Temple, The entrance to the Golden Temple complex is through an
ornate archway with intricate inlay work. The main north entrance is under a
Victorian clock tower. The architecture of the golden temple is a blend of the
Hindu and Muslim styles. The Golden Dome (said to be glided with 100 Killo
Grams(200 Lbs.) of pure gold is supposed to represent an inverted lotus flower,
pointing back to earth to symbolize the Sikh´s concern with the problems
of this world. Jallian Wala Bagh This place is noted for its most notorious
massacre under British rule. It is 400 meters north of the Golden Temple.
General Dyer personally led the troops to the sight and ordered his men to open
fire without any warning. Today this ground has been changed to a park and it
has a pleasant garden. There
is a narrow path between the
houses which leads to the lawn of the park. At the entrance there is a memorial
plaque which recounts the history. There is a well on the north side in which
many people who tried to escape from the bullets were drowned, and remnants of
walls have been preserved to show the bullet holes. At the east end of the
garden there is a large memorial built in memory of those who died here.
Durgiana Temple, situated outside the Lohgarh Gate it is built after the design
of the Golden Temple and attracts sages and scholars in Hindu scriptures from
all over India.
Day 15 AMRITSAR/DELHI:
Early this morning we board express
train to Delhi, the majestic capital city of India. Delhi blends within its
folds a great cultural variety of India: an unceasing range of activity, a
million ways of saying 'You are welcome'. After check-into the hotel. This
afternoon visit New Delhi, which was the capital, built during the British Raj
& designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan (the
Presidential Palace) and the Secretariat buildings - the
center of Government activity, down the impressive Rajpath (the main avenue),
to the World War I memorial arch, India Gate, the High Court Building and the
Old Fort. Visit Humayun's Tomb built in 1565 AD by his grieving widow Haji
Begum, the Qutub Minar, 72 meters high and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light
of Islam) Mosque. See Delhi's most curious antique, the uncoroded Iron Pillar,
which dates back to the 4th century AD. Hotel City Park/Qutab hotel.
Day 16 DELHI:
Breakfast at
the hotel, followed by a very exciting tour of Old Delhi previously called
Shahjehanabad, the 300-year-old walled city built by Shah Jehan as his capital.
Begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi the Father of the nation
was cremated in 1948. Thereafter you proceed to the magnificent Red Fort
(closed on Mondays) built of red sandstone dating from the very peak of the Mogul power. Opposite the fort are the
black and white onion dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant
mosque in India. Drive past Feroz Shah Kotla, ruins of an old fort of the 14th
century with the 13 meter high Ashoka Pillar of 3rd BC. Time free for shopping.
This evening transfer to airport for homeward bound flight.
Day 17 DELHI/USA:
Depart early morning from Delhi for homeward
bound.

Day 1
DELHI/SRINAGAR:
Mogul Gardens:
Airport meet and transfer to houseboat.
After a traditional welcome tea and biscuits, this afternoon you will
visit enchanted Mogul gardens of Nishat 'garden of bliss'
situated on the banks of the Dal
Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop, commands a magnificent view
of the lake and the snow capped Pir Panjal mountain range which
stands far away to the west of the valley was built by Mogul
Emperor Jahangir, who was the father of the builder of Taj Mahal and Shalimar
the garden of pleasure built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife Nur
Jehan, is a beautiful garden with sweeping vistas, lakes, and shallow terraces.
The garden has four terraces, rising one above the other. A canal lined with
polished marble and supplied with water from Harwan runs
through the middle of the garden. The fourth terrace, by far the
best, was once reserved for royal ladies. Dinner at your houseboat.
Day 2
PAHALGAM:
After breakfast, we'll
depart for a full day tour of Pahalagam, an other premier mountain resort in
Kashmir, with its pointed peaks and green pastures. En-route stops will include
a visit to 11th. Century Temple and Palace of ancient capital of Kashmir at
AWANTI PURA, MATAN a temple town with ponds of holly fish which are fed
byvisitors and worshipers. These holy fish are not for consumption. As you
approach Pahalgam, you are greeted by lush valleys and rolling meadows
cascading streams offering panoramic views. Pahalgam is a base for
variousHimalayan trekking routes for beginners and for experienced trekkers
to
many Trans-Himalayan expeditions. Within a close proximity by
horseback ride or walking are the meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly
wooded forests of pine. Hajan, on the way to Chandanwari, is an idyllic
spot for a picnic. This evening Return to your cozy houseboat.
Day 3 Srinagar
lakes and City Tour:
Today you will board small boats which
resemble Italian Gondolas
with canopies and spring seats to cruise
through Dal and Nagin Lakes. Float through a network of canals to the holy
shrine of Hazratbal and visit floating gardens and small villages along the
route.
Day 4
SRINAGAR/DELHI:
Breakfast at
your houseboat. Fly to Delhi/, arrival transfer tohotel. Time free for last minute shopping etc.
