adventure, that is India. Experience the Pushkar festival that attracts

This tour also includes stops at Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthanbore Wildlife Sanctuary,
Agra, and Varanasi.
Day I NEW
YORK/DELHI:
Welcome aboard your flight to Delhi, enjoy the regal
hospitality by silk sari clad hostesses. Indulge yourself with delicious Indian
and Continental cuisine. Your India tour begins.
Day 2 DELHI:
This evening arrive in Delhi, where you'll be received
and escorted to Hotel Park/ Hotel HIlton. Welcome to India.
Day 3 DELHI:
Morning tour in Delhi includes, the Presidential-Palace,
Parliament House, India Gate, Qutab Minar Tower, Jantar Mantar, the fashionable
Connaught Circus. Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Mahalaxmi Temple and Mahatma Gandhi
Samadhi. Evening free.
Day 4
DELHI/UDAIPUR: After breakfast drive to Udaipur. Journey to Udaipur is thru
Indian country side to enjoy the life along the
route, the sights are fascinating with
passing nomad caravans of camels traders and peacock fields among
others. Arrive and check in at Shiva
Niwas Palace hotel/Trident Hilton. Udaipur, has two reasons for pride, the
first is that it can trace back its recorded history to Bapa Rawal (728 A.D.),
where as Jaipur and Jodhpur lag behind by 200 and 483 years respectively. The
second is pride in being Hindu and not losing honor to the Muslims. Udaipur has
a profusion of Palaces, Lakes, Temples and Cenotaphs. Morning visit City
Palace, a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake on a hill
surrounded by crenulated walls, it is a conglomeration of courtyards,
pavilions, terraces, corridors and hanging gardens. The main entrance is
through the triple arcade gate, Sahelion ki Bari or Garden of the Maids of
Honor. This garden is laid with extensive lawns, fountains and shady walking
lanes. Drive around Fateh Sagar Lake excavated in the late 17th century by
Maharaja Jai Singh and past the Kala Mandir (Puppet Museum) and the Cenotaph of
Maharana Pratap Jagdish temple, which is a fine example of Nagari style.
Day 5 UDAIPUR:
Today's sightseeing tout includes Eklingji
temple, carved from marble and even today the Maharana of Udaipur who is Diwan
of the temple,
Nagda where exquisitely carved temples,
both Hindu (10th century) and Jain (15th century) are a treat for the eyes, and
Nathwara temple, the highly revered temple to Srinathji, a manifestation of
Lord Krishna

6 UDAPUR/PUSHKAR:
This morning drive to Pushkar, on arrival transfer to camp for
overnight. Pushkar Every November, this quaint little township of
Pushkar in Rajasthan, India comes alive with a riot of colors and a frenzied
burst of activity. The occasion: PUSHKAR FAIR. Very few, if at all any, fairs
in the world can match the liveliness of Pushkar. Most people associate the
Pushkar Fair with the world's largest camel fair. But it is much more than
that. It is an occasion for villagers from far and near to gather together and
enjoy a welcome break from their harsh life of the arid desert. And enjoy they
do! In dazzling style and colors. For Hindu pilgrims to converge for a holy dip in the sacred Pushkar Lake to
wash away the sins of a lifetime and pay obeisance at the ONLY Brahma temple in
the world. It is an unparalleled and unforgettable experience to capture the
vibrancy of the entire state of Rajasthan in one place.
Day 7
Pushkar/Jaipur:
After breakfast explore the Pushkar fare for most
of the day to photograph and enjoy the colors and fair activities. This evening
departure to Jaipur. On arrival transfer to Hotel Mansingh Palace/Clark's
Jaipur.
Day 8 JAIPUR:
Morning after breakfast, visit Amber Fort AMBER - Just 7 miles north of Jaipur
is Amber with its a honey-colored fortress-palace in the Aravalli Hills. Enjoy
an elephant ride along the fortress ramparts. The sombre exterior belies the
richness of the royal apartments, which open on to striking views of the gorge.
Walk into the Sheesh Mahal and admire the amazing interior décor thought
of over 200 years ago. The Hall of Victory presents a galaxy of decorative art
panels of alabaster with fine inlay work After lunch visit Jai Singh's
Observatory built in the 17th century by the founder of Jaipur who,
besides being a prince was
also soldier, astronomer and builder. This is an architectural feat, drive past
the Hawa Mahal an elaborate building encrusted with delicate honeycomb screens
and carved balconies from behind which the royal Zanana, could view the world
outside, the City Palace now a museum exhibiting fine Rajput and Mogul
paintings, rare manuscripts and an armory
Day 9
JAIPUR/RANTHANBORE:
Drive Morning after breakfast departs and drive to Ranthambhore on
arrival transfer to Check into Pugmark/Safari Lodge. Late evening game drive. A
famous game park and tiger reserve in Rajasthan, colonial style amenities and
services in a cozy atmosphere. Game viewing aboard elephants and jeeps include
Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Nilgai and Chetal to name a few. Operation Tiger Project
was launched here to preserve the Tiger.
Day 10
RANTHANBORE:
Two game drives morning and late afternoon Visit
The Ranthambore Fort, manifests itself in the well-preserved imposing fort,
built in 994 AD. Atop a steep high creek 200m above sea level.
Ruined
pavilions, walls, chhatris and splendid monuments are interspersed within the
majestic fort. Ranthambore National Park, 392 sq km park comprises of dry
deciduous forests sprawling over an undulating terrain of the Aravalli and
Vindhyan ranges.
Day 11 RANTHANBORE/AGRA:
Morning game drive.
After breakfast drive to Agra en-route visit Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana
sanctuary with largest concentration and variety of bird life in Asia) and
visit Fateh Pur Sikri, an epic poem in red sandstone, it was built by Emperor
Akbar in 1569 and deserted 14 years later due to lack of water. Legend has it
that Akbar who was without a male heir, made a
pilgrimage to this spot to visit the saint Sheikh Salim Chisti The saint
predicted the birth of a male heir and in gratitude, after his son Jehangir was
born, he built Fatehpur Sikri to commemorate the birth. The Diwan-e- Khas, Hall
of Private Audiences has a unique interior design. The Diwan-e-Am or Hall of
Public Audience is an open courtyard surrounded by cloisters and adjoining it
is the Pachisi courtyard arranged like a gigantic game board, where the Emperor
played chess using slave girls as pawns. Arrive Agra and check in at Hotel
Clarks/Taj View.
Day 12
AGRA:
After breakfast visit Taj Mahal, the most extravagant monument ever built for love. On the death of
his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, Mogul Emperor Shah Jahan built her this memorial
over which 20,000 men labored for 22 years to create a masterpiece in white
marble inlaid with semi precious stones; the art is called pietra dura. Agra
Fort where Shah Jahan spent the last years of his life, imprisoned by his son
Aurangzeb. The most impressive part of the Fort are the Dewan-e-Am, Hall of
Public Audience and the Dewan-e-Khas Hall of Private Audience where he received
foreign dignitaries.
Day 13
AGRA-DELHI/VARANASI:
This morning after breakfast drive back to Delhi on arrival
transfer to Airport and fly to the ancient city of Varanasi built on the banks
of the sacred River Ganges. Since 6 BC, this city has been a key destination
for pilgrims who seek blessing and purification in the river holy waters. A
sightseeing tour visits Sarnath, symbolic birthplace of Buddhism, and the
National Museum,
home to a
priceless sculpture collection dating back to the 3 BC. Attend a special
ceremonial dinner this evening amidst hundreds of lighted candles and flower
offerings. Hotel Clark's Ganges.
Day 14 VARANASI/DELHI:
Rise early to view the Varanasi sunrise
ceremonies on the Ganges. City tour highlights include Bharat Mata Mandir
Temple, and the Benaras Hindu University, a center of Sanskrit, art, and
cultural studies. A local lecturer provides insight into Hindi life and the
spiritual rituals of the Ganges and Varanasi. Fly to Delhi on arrival transfer
to Hotel Park/ Hotel HIlton. Evening free for shopping, packing etc. in
preparation for journey homeward bound.
Day 15 DELHI/USA:
Depart early morning from Delhi
for homeward bound.

transfer to Yak N Yeti/Hotel Del,Annapurna.
Day 2 KATHMANDU:
After breakfast, begin the day with morning
tour of Kathmandu city, visiting the Temple of Hanuman, Dhoka Square, The House
of the Living Goddess, Royal Palace, the city markets. Evening free. Afternoon
tour of Patan, a city of ancient architecture, fine arts, and renowned for its'
silver, copper and bronze work. We'll also visit the Tibetan Handicrafts
Center. Evening at leisure.
Day 3
KATHMANDU:
Morning is free
with an optional (recommended) flight-seeing tour of Mt. Everest available.
Ample time for shopping for antiques and gifts. This afternoon we'll visit
Bhaktapur, the city of religious devotees built in the shape of shell, visit
the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate and the Palace of

Morning free.
