High Road to Tibet tour is for those with a love for nature
spirit of adventure and an Interest in Tibetology and Buddhism Tibet travel is
an experience that is both rare and transforming. Explore the cultures of Nepal
and Tibet, an Opportunity to have close contact with the remote civilizations

Day 1
USA/DELHI:
Welcome aboard your flight to Delhi for our Tibet travel
adventure.
Day 2 DELHI:
Arrival reception and transfer to Hotel Grand/Park
Hotel.
Day 3 DELHI:
After breakfast we'll
begin our tour which will take us to the Presidential
Palace,
 Parliament
House, ,India Gate, Qutab
Minar Tower, Jantar Mantar, the fashionable Connaught Circus. Red Fort, and
Mahalaxmi Temple.
Day 4/5 DELHI/KATHMANDU:
Afternoon
flight to Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel Del, Annapurna/ Yak N Yeti Hotel,
overlooking panoramic views. We have two days to
tour Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur and Pashupatinath while we acclirnatize
for our Lhasa
trip.
Day 6 KATHMANDU/TOTAPANI/ ZHANGMU:
After breakfast, we leave for Totapani, the
border
town of
Tibet. According to the road condition we may trek for about 3 hours on the
other side of the border. Overnight at Zhangmu Hotel, our first stop on our
Tibet tour.
Day 7 XEGAR: 
After an adventurous journey we'll stop at Xegar.
Day 8 SHIGATSE:
We continue our Tibet tour to
Shigatse, the traditional seat of Panchan Lama, the most important in the
Tibetan tradition.
Day 9 GYANTSE:
Our journey ends at Gyantse, the
site of the Palkhor
and Choda Stupas. Overnight at the local
hotel.
Day 10-12 LHASA:
We have 3 days in Lhasa to explore the famous Potala
Palace, Sera & Drupyong Monasteries that this region is known for. We'll
have ample time to meet the head Lama and observe the ritual-chanting monks.
Also included are Sakya, Shalo, and Jokhang Norbulinga monastaries.
Day 13 LHASA/KATHMANDU/DELHI/AGRA:
Fly Lhasa to Kathmandu and connect to
 Delhi, drive to Agra.
Overnight Hotel Taj View/Clarks Hotel.
Day 14 TAJ MAHAL:
After breakfast visit Taj Mahal, the
most
extravagant monument ever built for love. On the death of his
beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan built her this memorial
over which 20,000 men labored for 22 years to create a masterpiece in white
marble inlaid with semi precious stones; the art is called pietra dura. Agra Fort where Shah Jehan spent the
last years of his life, imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb. The most impressive
part of the Fort are the Dewan-e-Am, Hall of Public Audience and the
Dewan-e-Khas Hall of Private Audience where he received foreign dignitaries.
Day 15 DELHI/NYC:
Departure from Delhi for homeward bound.
