 Day 1 Arrive Chiang
Mai:
Welcome to Chiang-Mai, second largest city of Thailand, cooler and less hectic
than Bangkok. It makes an ideal center for touring the many and varied
attractions of the region. Explore the radiantly gilded temples and visit Wat
Phara Dhat on Doi Suthep, which majestically overlooks the city. Chiangmai is
renowned for its diversity of local handicrafts, from silk and cotton weaving
to woodcarving and ceramics. Accommodation at the Empress Hottel
Day 2 Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai/Golden Triangle:
 Breakfast at hotel. This morning transfer to coach for Chiang Rai
to Chiang Saen on the Laotian border for a visit to the Golden Triangle, where
the borders of Burma, Thailand and Laos meet. We'll take a barge down the
Mekong River, visit the Karen and Red lahu hill tribe villages and Buddhist
Temples in Chiang Saen. Accommodatin at the Wiang Inn Hotel.
Day 3 Chiang Rai/Chiang Saen:
Breakfast at hotel. Full day tour to Doi Thung Mountain to visit Akha Yao and
the Muser Hill tribe villages, followed by visit to Mae Sai, the northern-most Thai town on the Burmese
border. Visit a jade factory. Accommodation at the Wiang Inn Hotel.
Day 4 Departure from Chiang Rai:
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for out of Chian Rai.
