Bangkok Bhutan Sikkim &
Darjeeling
16
Days tour
Starting in Bangkok explore the radiantly gilded temples and
visit Grand palace, Wat Phara Dhat on Doi Suthep, which majestically overlooks
the city. Travel to Bhutan, best known to the world today as the last
Shangri-La. The Bhutanese people protected this sacred heritage and unique
identity for centuries, by choosing to remain shrouded deep in a jealously
guarded isolation. The rich Himalayan flora and fauna, dazzling white peaks,
and lush valleys provide Bhutan stunning beauty and aesthetic grandeur. Its
terrain ranges from tropical southern foothills near the sea level to heights
of over 24,000 ft. You'll encounter the full glory of an ancient land through
its strategic monastic fortresses known as Dzongs, numerous ancient temples and
monasteries which dot the countryside. Then we travel to Sikkim the other less
travelled Himalayan paradise and Darjeeling, which was discovered by British
residents during the days of Raj to cool off from the punishing heat of the
plains. Darjeeling offers spectacular vistas and tea plantations famous for the
world over.
