Day I NEW YORK/DELHI:
Welcome aboard your flight to Delhi, en-route to Ladakh tour. Enjoy the regal hospitality by silk sari clad hostesses. Indulge yourself with delicious Indian and Continental cuisine.

Day 2 DELHI:
This evening arrive in Delhi, where you'll be received and escorted to Hotel Ambassador/ Hotel Qutab.

Larget Budha statues, 2 story high Day 3 DELHI:
Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour includes, the Presidential-Palace, Parliament House, India Gate, Qutab Minar Tower, Jantar Mantar, the fashionable Connaught Circus. Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Mahalaxmi Temple and Mahatma Gandhi Samadhi. Evening free.

Day 4 DELHI/LEH:
Early this morning fly to Leh,capital of Ladakh tour. With the inhabitants of 50,000, Leh is located in small valley just the north of Indus valley. We'll take complete rest for proper acclimatization to the high altitude atmosphere.

Day 5 LEH/ALCHI:
Leh to Lamayuru, Likir and Alchi and night halt at Alchi. Sightseeing Lamayuru, After exploring villages around the area, it comes as a surprise to find that Lamayuru is a cute little hamlet surrounded by rugged Hindukush peaks. The gompa completely overshadowes the landscape which happens to be the most famous and spectacular monastery in Ladakh. Alchi and Likir Monasteries, these two monasteries are located near Saspol on the Srinagar-Leh Lama caravan Ladakhroad. They house many gigantic clay statue of Buddha in various forms. The primary attraction of these monasteries is, however, their 1000-year old wall painting, which alone makes the visit a worthwhile experience.


Day 6 ALCHI/LEH: Alchi to Leh, on the way back to Leh, sightseeing of Rizong and Spituk monastaries. Rising, About 5 miles along a steep, rocky track from the main road starts the area with the nunnery of Julochen and the gompa of Rizong. The gompa, belongs to the Gelukpa. Spituk Monastery. Just before Leh on the Srinagar-Leh road on the hilltop overlooking the Indus, the Spituk monastery boasts not only of some prized tankha, but also a chamber with enormous statue of Kali, awe inspiring mountainside buddha statue ladakgwhose faces are unveiled once a year. The chamber contains an ancient collection of facemasks too.

Day 7 LEH:
The whole day is dedicated to shopping and to discover some interesting things about Ladakhi art and culture by visiting the Tibetan refugees camp Choklamsar, Library and Ecological Development center etc.

Day 8 LEH:
Today's sightseeing, Leh Bazaar, Leh Palace and Sankar gompa, the women's vegetable market in the afternoon. Thie evening evening the Sankar monastery, Leh Gompa, It is situated above the Leh Palace and was built in 1430. It contains a 47 ft. high statue of the Buddha, which the Ladakhi call Chamba. According to the Lamas this splendid statue is the future Buddha. Butter lamps burn day and night in front of this statue. green pastures of zanskar, ladakhSankar Gompa, Just 2 miles from Leh is this monastery that has a formidable collection of miniature of pure gold and a number of exciting paintings. It is well lit and may be visited in the evening as well.

Day 9 LEH/DELHI/AGRA:
This morning fly to Delhi and drive directly to Agra. Afternoon visit the famous Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. Taj View/Clark's Hotel.

Day 10 AGRA/FATEHPUR-SIKRI/JAIPUR:
We continue on to Jaipur with a stop in Fatehpur-Sikri, a huge fort complex that served as capital ofIndia before it was moved to Delhi in 17th.century. Stay at Jai Mahal Palace Hotel/Trident hotel. Afternoon sightseeing at the City Palace,At the Taj Mahal the Albert Museum and the Observatory.

Day 11 JAIPUR/DELHI:
Today's highlight is an elephant ride to the Amber Fort followed by exploration of the city and bazaars. Afternoon leave for Delhi. Arrival and transfer to hotel. The evening is free.

Day 12 DELHI/USA:
Early morning transfer to airport for flight bound for New York.
